Program Questions

What age groups does Elevated Hoops serve?

We currently focus on boys ages 11 to 12 (6th Grade) who want to learn the game the right way through fundamentals, teamwork, and fun.

We’re based in Peoria, Arizona. Practices and games are held at local gyms and facilities in the area.
Tryouts for each season are announced in advance. The best way to stay updated is to join our email list or follow us on social media.
Each season runs for about 10 weeks and includes practices, local tournaments, and team events.
Practices are usually held twice a week for 90 minutes each. Our coaches focus on fundamentals, team concepts, and scrimmage play.
Elevated Hoops is a competitive program. Not every player will make the roster, and that’s okay. We’re looking for kids who are ready to learn at a higher level and commit fully to the team. Players who aren’t selected are encouraged to keep working on their fundamentals and try again in the next season.
Elevated Hoops is a competitive developmental team. We focus on players who are ready to take the next step, kids who love basketball, work hard, and want to improve. Practices and tournaments are structured for players with consistent interest and effort.
We keep our roster small, usually seven to eight players. This gives everyone more playing time, stronger coaching, and better opportunities to grow.
Elevated Hoops is currently one competitive youth basketball team based in Peoria, Arizona. We plan to expand over time, but our main focus now is building one strong, connected team that plays the right way.

What happens if my child can’t attend a practice or game?

We ask that parents communicate with coaches ahead of time. Attendance and effort are important, and missing practices may affect playing time.
We understand that situations can change. We ask that families notify us as soon as possible so we can adjust rosters and planning. Once a player commits to a season, fees are non-refundable since costs like uniforms, facility rentals, and league fees are paid in advance.
Because our program expenses are committed at the start of each season, we do not offer refunds after registration. We encourage families to review all program details before joining.
We expect parents to model respect, patience, and positivity. Encourage all players, not just your own child, and trust the coaches to do their job. Our program is built on community, and every parent helps shape that.
Players are expected to show up on time, give full effort, and respect their teammates, coaches, and the game. We value attitude and effort as much as skill.

Competition

Do all players get equal playing time?

Playing time is based on effort, attendance, and readiness, not just skill. Our goal is to help each player grow and earn opportunities through hard work.
We compete in select local tournaments across Arizona that match our players’ level and development goals. Our focus is on teaching teamwork and effort, not chasing trophies.
Yes, your player’s season fee includes a reversible jersey, shorts, and a shooting shirt. Replacement gear can be purchased if needed.

Fees and
Registration

How much does it cost to play?

Each season is $450 and includes practices, uniforms, insurance, and admin costs. Tournament fees are separate and split evenly among players who participate.
Tournament costs are communicated in advance. Families pay their share before each event. We estimate around eight tournaments per season, depending on scheduling and interest.
Yes, returning players receive a $50 discount on their next season registration.

Who coaches the teams?

Our coaches are mentors first. They teach fundamentals, discipline, and respect for the game while creating a fun, competitive environment.
We focus on teaching the game the right way. Fundamentals come before flash, effort before results, and teamwork before stats. Our culture is built on family, growth, and fun.
Yes, all players are covered under a yearly AAU membership, which is included in your season fee.
